An interview gives you the opportunity to display your qualifications to an employer, so it pays to be well prepared. The following information provides some helpful hints.

What to wear:

Clothes & appearance should represent of who you are and shouldn’t necessary speak louder than you do. You should be professional, but let your skills and knowledge make the impression.

Describing your qualifications is like writing ads for a product. What makes you unique? Are you the type of the person who enjoys working in a certain type of environment? You job is to convince your interviewer that you have the right attitude, experience, and qualifications for the position.

Why should we hire you:

This question is purely about selling yourself. Think of yourself as the product. Why should the customer buy? Let the hiring manager know that you have been listening to the problem and have what it takes to do the job – which you are the solution to the problem.

Tough Questions:

Our interview focus will be on what you have done in previous jobs. You can prepare for the interview by thinking of and perhaps jotting down the accomplishments. Also, think of tough situations you handled well, and maybe some you did not handle as well as you could have.

Ask a Questions:

Surprisingly, most people do not take advantage of the change to ask questions of their interviewer. This is a missed opportunity to ding our information about the positions. It is important for you ask questions – not just any question, but those relating to the job, the company and the industry.

Other Information:

In most cases, you will complete an employment application when you in for the interview. Be sure to bring with you the names, addresses, and dates for where you went to school, where you have worked for the past 5 years, and where you have lived for the past 7 years.

  • Leave your interviewer with the right picture of you. Think of at least five skills or traits for you want remembered after the interview.
  • Ask if there is anything else you can provide, such a reference, background information or work samples.
  • State your interest in the positions. Do not be overly anxious, but act interested. Remember to mention that added value you can bring to the job.
  • Ask about the next step in the process. It is important for you to know the ne4xt step so you can follow up. Ask for the decision date.
  • Find out how to contact us. If you do not hear back, you will need to know who to contact and whether they will accept calls to your hiring status.
